Cybersecurity Consulting
Measurable outcomes, not point-products or hype cycles — threat management strategy from the ground up, or a sharper edge on what you already run.
Demystifying the landscape
SIEM, SOAR, ASM, TIP, CDR, TDR, EDR, XDR, CWPP, CIEM, AI SOC — the security market produces acronyms faster than most teams can evaluate them. Every one of them represents a real capability; none of them is a strategy. We help you cut through the noise and answer the questions that matter: what threats does your organization actually face, which capabilities address them, and how will you measure whether they're working?
Whether you're defining a threat management program from scratch or refining a mature operation to take advantage of the latest innovations in the industry, our guidance is grounded in decades of experience building and integrating the platforms these acronyms describe — and it is always vendor-neutral.

Frequently asked questions
Do you resell security products?
No. Pobal Cyber is vendor-neutral. We focus on measurable outcomes, not point-products or hype cycles, so our recommendations are driven by your threat profile and budget — not by reseller margins.
We already have a SIEM and an EDR. Why do we need a strategy?
Tools without a threat management strategy tend to produce alerts, not outcomes. We help you connect the tools you already own to the threats that actually matter, define measurable objectives, and identify gaps or overlaps — which often reduces spend rather than adding to it.
Do you work with organizations outside New Brunswick?
Yes. We are based in Fredericton, New Brunswick and serve clients across the Maritime provinces and worldwide. Most engagements run remotely, with on-site work available in Atlantic Canada.
What does an engagement look like?
Engagements start with a consultation to scope your goals, followed by an assessment of your current tooling and threat profile, a prioritized roadmap with measurable outcomes, and optional hands-on support while you execute it.
